PRIMESTORE® MTM
PrimeStore MTM is an agent that inactivates pathogens including gram-positive/negative bacteria and viruses, as well as their proteins, and enzymes. PrimeStore MTM is used for the stabilization of microbial nucleic acids, transportation, and inactivation of infectious unprocessed samples such as nasal swab, oral swab specimens, sputum samples, blood, urine, and stool in either humans or animals. PrimeStore MTM is the ideal solution for long-term storage of microbial nucleic acids for molecular testing and sequencing.
PrimeStore MTM completely inactivates bacteria including Escherichia coli, Bacillus, MRSA, Mycobacterium Tuberculosis, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, fungi (Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger), parasites (Cryptosporidium), and viruses including SARS-CoV-2, Adenovirus, Foot and Mouth Disease virus (FMDv), Classical Swine Fever virus (CSFv), African Swine fever virus (ASF), and Bluetongue virus (BTV). In addition, PrimeStore MTM can destroy lipid membranes and proteins and inactivate nuclease and protease enzymes.
Microbial nucleic acids can be stabilized in PrimeStore MTM reagent at ambient temperature for more than 2 1/2 years. Samples in this reagent can undergo over 30 freeze/thaw cycles without any change in nucleic acids quality.
PrimeStore MTM is compatible with most commercial spin column and bead-based extraction systems including Dneasy PowerSoil Kit, QIAamp PowerFecal DNA Kit, QIAamp Viral RNA Mini Kit, High pure PCR template preparation kit (Roche), GF-1 Blood DNA Extraction Kit, as well as IndiSpin® Pathogen Kit. High quality of DNA and RNA are obtained for further molecular testing.
